Get started with UnitVane

Connect a billing source, write your first rules, and open your first dashboard. Nothing to install.

What it needs

Read access to your billing exports, or a FOCUS file. UnitVane is fully managed, and it does not need the Kubernetes agent.

1. Connect a data source

In Data sources, connect AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, or upload a FOCUS file. Each connection runs a checklist and shows exactly which permission is missing. See connect data sources.

2. Give spend an owner

In Business mappings, write rules that set business unit, cost center, team, application and environment. The unallocated figure shows what still needs a rule. See business mappings.

3. Read your spend

Open Dashboards for the 11 templates, or Cost explorer to group and filter. See dashboards and your BI tool.

4. Set budgets and act on savings

Add budgets in Budgets & forecasts, then work through Anomalies and Optimization. See budgets, anomalies and savings.
