Reports
Reports that arrive before anyone asks
Save any view as a report with its grouping, filters, idle policy and rate. Send it to finance every month, to team leads every week, or pull it into your own tools through the API.
Saved reports
A report is a view you can name, share and run again
Reports cover allocation, assets and cloud costs over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, this month or last month. Each one keeps its grouping, filters, idle sharing mode and rate, and can be private, shared or built in.
- Built-in reports for the common questions
- Owner or admin editing, shared viewing
- Run now, then compare with the previous window
Scheduled delivery
Monthly chargeback to finance, weekly summaries to teams
Schedule any report daily, weekly or monthly to email recipients or a Slack channel. The message carries the totals and the change against the previous period, with the CSV attached and a link back to the view.
- Email and Slack delivery
- CSV attached, link to the live report
- The weekly Ask KubeOn digest on the same channels
Cost groups
Group namespaces the way your organization thinks about them
A cost group is a saved set of namespaces or label selectors, such as team=payments, env=prod. System cost groups cover shared platform, idle capacity, unattributed workloads and each cluster.
- Label selector or namespace lists
- Pod counts and cost per group
- Use cost groups as report and budget scopes
Exports and API
The same numbers in your BI, your spreadsheet or your pipeline
Download any table as CSV, fetching every page, and any chart as PNG. The REST API takes the same window, grouping, filter and rate parameters as the UI, with tokens scoped to a role.
- CSV of any table, PNG of any chart
- REST API with role-scoped tokens
- An Other row, so rows always add up to the total

What the allocation API returns
Rows beyond the page roll up into other, so the API returns the same totals as the UI at any page size.
