  • Off-hours schedules for dev and test$8.6K to $15K
  • Orphaned and oversized volumes$750 to $1.8K
How this estimate works

Each line uses your inputs above, and the estimate is the sum of the three lines.

  • Rightsizing: $150,000 production spend × 50% releasable × 30% to 50% captured = $22,500 to $37,500. Releasable is 1 − 35% ÷ 70%: requests sized to a 70% utilization target need 50% of today's requested capacity, and the rest can be released.
  • Off-hours: $50,000 dev and test spend × 61.3% idle hours (103 of 168 a week, outside 07:00 to 20:00 on weekdays) × 70% scalable × 40% to 70% captured = $8,583 to $15,021.
  • Storage: $15,000 persistent volume spend × 5% to 12% in orphaned, released and oversized volumes = $750 to $1,800.
  • Net savings subtract only the fee you enter. Implementation effort and the time until nodes scale down are not included.
  • This is an estimate, not a guarantee. After install, KubeOn replaces it with measured findings, priced once your billing data is in: ones that need no usage history, such as released volumes, right away; container rightsizing after 7 days of usage; node groups after 14 days.

Replace the estimate with measured findings.

Install the agent on one cluster and KubeOn prices each saving against your own bill, starting as soon as your billing data is in.
